All night Pirith Chanting Ceremony at the UGC office premises

An all night Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held at the University Grants Commission office premises on 03rd May 2013 to invoke blessings on staff, and the institution, followed by the morning alms on the next day giving to the Buddhist monks.


 

 
 

Extended the application for foreign qualified students – 2010/2011 Intake






INCREASE THE INTAKE OF STUDENTS WITH FOREIGN QUALIFICATIONS TO UNIVERSITIES OF SRI LANKA AND EXTENDED THE APPLICATION FOR THE INTAKE YEAR 2010/2011

The UGC decided to increase the intake of students with foreign qualifications to Universities in Sri Lanka for each course of study from 0.5% to 5%. Accordingly, the Commission decided that admission to increased 4.5% of places should be over and above the numbers agreed by the universities for each course of study.

It was also decided that any increased intake under this category for this year ie. Academic Year 2010/2011, should be under the existing rules and regulations. The details of the requirements and application form could be obtained from the UGC website. All students admitted under this category are liable to pay the tuition and examination fees as mentioned in the Application form.

Closing date for the application for the academic year 2010/2011 was extended up to 15th August 2011.
