Salary Adjustments to Rectify Anomalies

The Ministry of Education & Higher Education, the General Treasury and the University Grants Commission, having considered the representations made on the anomalies in the salary structure of the UGC Circulars of 750 and 755,
have approved the revised salaries given in the annexed schedule for implementation with effect from 01 January 2001.

The conversion tables and other operational details for implementing the revised salaries from January 2001 will be sent to the Universities/Institutes in due course. Please await a further circular giving the above particulars.

The General Treasury (ref. letter No. DMS/SAL/UGC(ii) of 19.09.2000) has also given approval to allow those employees who have been assigned A-04(c) and A-04(d) salary scales with effect from 01.01.1997 (in place of A-04 and A-04(a) salary scales assigned to them prior to that date) in terms of para 3 of Commission Circular No. 750 to continue on A-04 and A-04(a) salary scales on personal to the holder basis.

Please take action to implement this change.
