CHANGE OF DESIGNATION OF THE POST OF DAIRY ASSISTANT
(ANIMAL HUSBANDRY) TO LIVESTOCK ASSISTANT

Your kind attention is invited to the scheme of recruitment for the post of Dairy Assistant (Animal Husbandry) stipulated in the publication of “Rules made by the UGC on schemes of recruitment and procedures for appointment to the Staff of Higher Educational Institutions and Institutes” issued in 1986 and subsequent amendments made by the letter No. UGC/HR/2/3/182 of 12th February, 1998 and Commission Circular No. 877 of 13th June, 2006.

The Commission at its 771st meeting held on 08. 01. 2009 decided to change the designation of the post of Dairy Assistant as Livestock Assistant.

Accordingly, the Sinhala and English versions of the revised designation of the post of Dairy Assistant along with its promotional grades are as follows:

The existing scheme of recruitment of the post of Dairy Assistant will continue to operate subject to the above changes.

The provisions of this Circular will be effective from 16. 03. 2009.

Please take action accordingly.
