EXTRA  ALLOCATIONS  FOR  FILLING  CADRE  POSITIONS

The University  Grants Commission has decided to allocate an additional grant for the year 2008, in order to meet the personal emolument cost of filling cadre positions for which approval has been granted by the Department of Management Services.  The summary of the cadre positions approved is as follows:-

The additional funds allocated to the Higher Educational Institutions, are shown in the Annex.  The Treasury will be advised to transfer these funds to the credit of your Institution.

The funds should be utilized to pay the salaries and allowances for the 6 month period July to December 2008.

The details of the cadre positions for which funds have been provided to your Institution, are also enclosed.
