SALARY AMONALIES IN THE PROMOTIONAL GRADES
By Commission Circular No.565 dated 15th March 1993 the Higher Educational Institutions were instructed to extend the payment of the allowance of Rs.190 /- p.m. to the categories of employees in A-05, A-05(a), A-06 and A-07 with effect from 1st January 1993.
However, it has now been found that some employees in the A-07 category have already enjoyed this benefit in terms of provisions in Commission Circulars No.506 and 510, when they were promoted from A-09 to A-07 category. You may also note that in terms of Public Administration Circular No.50/90 (iii) dated 25th September, 1992, some employees have been allowed to continue to draw the monthly allowance of Rs.200/- and Rs.300/- even after their salaries have been revised on promotion, as personal to them . Provisions in Commision Circular No.565 - dated 15th March, 1993 will threfore not apply to all those who have already enjoyed this benefit.
This allowance should be reckoned for the purposes of calculating contributions to the Universities Provident Fund, payment of Gratuity, Loans and Overtime.
Please take action accordingly.
