GRANTING OF PERMANENT STATUS TO THE SUB-WARDENS (FULL TIME)
APPOINTED ON CONTRACT BASIS
Your kind attention is invited to paragraph 03 of Commission Circular No. 416 of 29th January 1990, regarding the appointment of Sub-Wardens (full-time) on contract basis.
The University Grants Commission at its 430th meeting held on 9th December 1994 has approved the granting of permanent status to the Sub-Wardens appointed in terms of above Circular in the following manner:
| (a) | To appoint them to the post of Sub-Warden (full-time),Grade II on the A-05(a) salary scale with effect from 02.01.1995 provided they have fulfilled the requisite qualifications in terms of the relevant Scheme of Recruitment. | |
| (b) | To grant due annual incremental credits for the period of contractual service of each officer. Example: If a Sub-Warden (full-time) appointed on contract basis has been serving a period of two years and six months on 31.12.1994, he should be placed on the 3rd step of the A-05(a) salary scale, ie: Rs.4360/- p.m. on 02.01.1995 and his next date of increment will be 01.07.1995. | |
| (c) | To consider the entire period of service both casual and contractual for the purpose of three year probationary period and confirmation in their posts of Sub-Warden, Gr. II, provided the person concerned has been appointed on or after 29.01.1990 on casual or/and contract basis. | |
| Accordingly, a person who has completed three years of service can be confirmed on 02.01.1995. |
The period of casual service will not be considered for grade to grade promotions of the post of Sub-Warden (full-time).
Paragraph 3 of Commission Circular No.416 is revoked with effect from 02.01.1995.
The other terms and conditions of service in respect of the posts of Sub-Warden (full-time) will remain unchanged.
Please take action accordingly.
