PAYMENT FOR EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
Your kind attention is invited to Commission Circulars Nos. 635, 680 and 722 issued in respect of payment for External Examinations.
The University Grants Commission at its 541st , 544th and 558 th meetings decided to revise the present rates of payment specified in Commission Circular Nos. 635, 680 and 722 issued in respect of payment for External Examinations as follows :

| Invigilator | 120.00 | 250.00 |
| Administrative Coordinator | 150.00 | 250.00 |
| Clerk | 25.00 | 90.00 |
| Hall Attendant | 50.00 | 75.00 |
Supervisors who attend to External Examination duties in centers outside Colombo District - Rs.1000/- per day.
The Commission also decided that the above rates of payment will be applicable only in the instances where external exams are conducted in centers outside the University premises.
Payments to the Deans and Heads of Departments who handle the activities of the external degree programme .
Dean - Rs.7500/- (Annually)
Heads of Departments - Rs. 5000 /- (Annually)
The above rates are subject to a minimum of 50 students per examination.
The revised rates of payment will be effective from 01st January 2000.
