REVALIDATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENTS
Your attention is Invited to Commissionn Circular No.699 dated 31st January 1997 on revalidation of advertisement for recruitments.
The University Grants Commission at its 508th meeting held on 16.01.1998 granted approval for extending the validity of internal advertisements for non-academic posts up to 12 months.
Accordingly para -2(a) of the above Circular has been amended as follows:

In the case of posts other than professorship in the System an advertisement shall be valid for a period of reckoned from the closing date of applications. Under no circumstances shall the validity of an external advertisement be extended beyond 06 months. Validity of an internal advertisement for non academic posts can be extended upto 12 months reckoned from the closing date of application.
