ADJUSTMENT OF SALARY ON PROMOTION FROM A-09 POST TO A-07 POST

The Commission at its 473rd meeting held on 28th June 1996 having accepted the recommendation made by the Panel appointed to examine Trade Union demands, in view of the representations made to the UGC on the above matter, decided to ensure that the monetary benefits received on promotion to the post of Clerk Grade 11 should be equivalent at least to one increment if the monetary benefit received has been reduced less than one increment as a result of salary revision effected in 1993.

In view of the above decision it is necessary to adjust the salary of Clerks Grade 11 and also those who have been promoted from A-09 to A-07 salary scale if they have not been benefitted at least by one Increment as a result of the joint effect of their promotion effected prior to 1.1.1993 and revision of their salary on 1.1.1993.

The following illustration is cited to explain the reduction of salary on promotion to Grade 11 occurred by a value less than one increment as a result of above.
