SELECTION OF INTERNAL CANDIDATES FOR POSITIONS IN NON-ACADEMIC GRADES (A-04 TO A-13) BY A WRITTEN EXAMINATION AND AN INTERVIEW
Your kind attention is invited to Public Administration Circular Nos. 15/90 dated 09.03.1990, 15/90(i) dated 25.03.1990 and 15/90 (ii) dated 25.06.1990 adopted by Establishment Circular letters No. 1 2/90 dated 29.03.1990 and 26/90 dated 30.07.1990 respectively on the National Policy for recruitment/promotion to Public Service, Provincial Public Service & Public Corporations.
The University Grants Commission at its 473rd meeting held on 14th June, 1996 having noted that approval had been given by the Ministry of Policy Planning and Implementation to depart from the provisions of P. A. Circular No. T 5/90 dated 09.03.1990, decided to adopt the following criteria (Method of selection) effective from 01. 11.1996 when selecting internal candidates for recruitment to the position is Non- Academic grades categorized under A-04 to A-13 salary codes which had hitherto been filled solely on the basis of marks at a written examination.
Method of Selection :- By written examination (75% marks will be allocated) and interview (25% marks will be allocated).
All Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes are informed to amend the relevant section of the Method of recruitment stipulated in the schemes of Recruitment applicable in the case of internal candidates accordingly.
The interview will be a structured one and among the factors that will be considered at the interview are the following:-
(a) Satisfactory service which is proved by the documents available in the personal file and the 03 increments earned annually for 03 years immediately prior to the closing date of applications.
