CHANGE OF DESIGNATION POST OF VIDYACARA SEVAKA
The University Grants Commission at its 482nd meeting held on 15th November 1996 having considered the representations made by the Peradeniya University Laboratory Staff Union has decided to change the designation of Vidyagara Sevaka as follows:

| Vidyagara Sevaka | Vidyagara Sahayaka |
The English Term of the designation ie. Laboratory Attendant will remain unchanged.
This decision is effective from 01.10.1996.
There will be no change of terms and conditions and scale of salary applicable to the present post as a result of the change in desigantion.
Please the post of take steps to amend the designation of the holders of Vidyagara Sevaka attached to your University/Institute accordingly.
