REVALIDATION OF ADVERTISEMENTS

This Circular has been modified by Circular No : 699

May I please draw your attention to paragraph 20 of Circular No.166 of 6th April 1982, relating to the Procedure for Appointment.

The University Grants Commission has decided to delegate to Councils of the Universities authority to decide on the revalidation of advertisements without reference to the Commission. The Commission decided that in respect of appointments, no additional documentation received after the closing date of the advertisement should be entertained and Vice-Chancellors should ensure that no additional documentation is permitted after the closing date of the advertisement. Under no circumstances should revalidation be allowed in respect of permanent appointments for more than 06 months after the closing date of the advertisement.

The above decision of the Commission is effective from 01st March 1990. You are kindly requested to take action actordingly.
