PAYMENT OF FEES TO UGC NOMINEES FOR ATTENDING MEETING OF SUB-COMMITTEES
Your kind attention is drawn to Commission Circular No.449 of 28th August 1990, on the above subject.
The Commission at its 317th meeting held on 26th February 1991, decided that nominees appointed by the University Grants Commission to the respective Selection Commiittees of the UGC and Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes also be paid Rs. 200/- per meeting subject to a ceiling of Rs. 600/- p.m.
When an appointed member attends more than one Selection Committee meeting on a given day held consecutively, the payment should be made in respect of one meeting only.
The provisions of this Circular are effective from 1st March 1991.
