PAYMENT OF LONG SERVICE ALLOWANCE TO THE MINOR EMPLOYEES OF THE UGC AND
THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS
Your attention is requested to Commission Circular No. 374 of 8th July 1988, in connection with the payment of long service allowance to employees of the University Grants Commission and the Higher Educational Institutions and Institutes who are on A-12 salary scale as well.
Having considered the representations made by certain Trade Unions, the University Grants Commission at its 315th meeting held on 22nd January 1991, decided to extend the payment of long service allowance to employees in the A-12 category from the date that they completed 20 years in the University System in any grade, subject to the conditions relating to this payment which are already in force.
Please take action accordingly.
