PAYMENT OF FEES LEVIED BY THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FOR COURSES OF STUDY
This Circular has been cancelled by Circular No : 830
Your attention is drawn to Commission Circular No. 415 dated 29th January 1990, issued in respect of the above matter.
The University Grants Commission has decided to request the Heads of Higher Educational Institutions and Institutes to authorise payment of fees to any employee who wishes to follow a course of study for one particular course in the first instance, irrespective of the nature of the course . The employee concerned will be eligible to receive payment from the Higher Educational Institution/Institute for another course after the completion of the first course for which the payment has been made by the Institution/Institute concerned. If an employee wishes to follow more than one course of study at a time the fees for such course of study will be reimbursed by the Higher Educational Institution/Institute concerned only after the successful completion of the course of study.
The Commission also decided that the Heads of Institutions should obtain progress reports of those who follow such courses.
The provisions of this Circular will come into force immediately.
