Re -Designation of the posts of Technical Officer
The University Grants Commission at its 593rd meeting held on 27.07.2001 decided to change the designations of Technical Officers as follows:-

| Senior Staff Technical Officer | Chief Technical Officer Senior | |
| Staff Technical Officer | Staff Technical Officer Staff | |
| Technical Officer (Special Grade) | Technical Officer Grade I Staff | |
| Technical Officer (Supra Grade) | Technical Officer (Grade II ) |
There will be no change in the terms and conditions and salaries applicable to the present post due to the re-designations stated above.
