This Circular has been modifieded by Circular No : 841
You kind attention is invited to the provision in Commision Circular No. 160 dated 26th February 1982 issued on appointment to the staff of Higher Educational Institutions under section 71 (2) (ii) of the Universities Act. No.16 of 1978.
The University Grants Commission at its 601st meeting held on 29.11.2001 decided to delegate authority to the Higher Educational Institutions to advertise posts of Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) and Senior Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) and submit the recommendations to the University Grants Commission for formal approval. Accordingly, the Higher Educational Institutions are required to submit the recommendations of the Selection Committee approved by the Governing Authority for formal approval of the University Grants Commission and for the issue of the letter of appointment.
The approved schemes of recruitment for the posts of Assistant Secretary/Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) and Senior Assistant Secretary/Senior Assistant Registrar (Legal & Documentation) are sent herewith.
Please take action accordingly.
