SALARY PAYABLE IN LIEU OF GIVING NOTICE ON RESIGNATION FROM SERVICE
Your kind attention is invited to para 4.1.1 and 4.3.1 of the chapter V of the Establishments Code of University Grants Commission and Higher Educational Institutions which provides for a teacher or a person other than a teacher for payment of 03 months salary or one month salary where it is not possible to give notice to the Governing Authority , prior to resignation from service.
The University Grants Commission at its 603rd meeting held on 04th January 2002 decided to inform the Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes to recognise the definition of salary laid down in para 1.3 of chapter VI of the UGC Establishments Code for computation of the salary payable by a teacher or a person other than teacher where notice is not possible to give on resignation from service.
The provisions of this circular are valid with immediate effect. Please take acffon accordingly.
