APPOINTMENT OF VISITING INSTRUCTORS IN ENGLISH

Your reference is requested to University Grants Commission Circular No.426 dated February 1990.
The University Grants Commission has decided to pay the Visiting Instructors in English who are recruited on contract for the Intensive Course in English at the rate of Rs. 3250 /- p.m. and to deduct at the rate of 1/20th of Rs. 3250 /- for each day of absence. A ''month" for this purpose would mean a period of 04 weeks.
The revised rate of payment is applicable only to those appointed on contract for the Intensive Course in English.
The new rate of payment is effective from 1st February, 1993. You are kindly requested to take action accordingly.
Please note that the English Language Teaching Units are required to maintain an attendance register to keep a daily record of attendance of Visiting Instructors including the time of arrival & departure of each Instructors so that payments can be made accurately.
