RATES OF PAYMENT TO STAFF FOR CONDUCTING WRITTEN EXAMINATION/
TRADE TESTS/INTERVIEWS FOR RECRUITMENTS AND PROMOTIONS OF STAFF TO
NOn-ACADEMIC POSTS

This Circular has been modified by Circular No : 615

Your kind attention is invited to Establishment Circular Letter No. 8/1986 and Commission Circular No.514.

The UGC has decided that the following rates of payment be applicable to the Staff of the Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes and the UGC Secretariat for conducting Written Examinations/Trade Tests/Interviews for Recruitments and Promotions of Staff to Non-Academic Posts.

(i) Setting a paper including checking the typed script Rs 450.00
(ii) Translating a paper and checking the typed script Rs 150.00
(iii) Marking a script Rs 6.00
(iv) For writing (when not typed) and typing a paper in Sinhala/Tamil/English Rs 5.25
(v) Supervision, for duration of each paper Rs 75.00
(vi) Invigilation for duration of each paper Rs 45.00
(vii) Hall Attendants, for duration of each paper, if examination is held on working day. Rs 12.00
(viii) To each member of an Interview Board to select a person/persons for appointment to a Staff Grade Post Rs 25.00 (per person interviewed)
(ix) To each member of an Interview Board to select an officer/officers for promotion from grade to grade within a staff grade Rs 20.00(per officer interviewed)
(x) To each member of an Interview Board to select a person/persons for appointment to a non-staff grade post or to select an officer/officers for promotion within a non-staff grade Rs 15.00 (per officer interviewed)
(xi) To each member of an Interview Board to select a person/persons for apointment to a minor grade post or to select an officer/officers for promotion
within a minor grade
Rs 5.00(per person interviewed)


The revised payments will be effective from 1st February 1994.

Please take action accordingly.
