GRANTING OF LEAVE AND RAILWAY WARRANTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ATTENTING ONLY ONE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETlNG OF A TRADE UNION
Your kind attention is invited to sub section 18: 1 of chapter x of the Establishments Code of the University Grants Commission and Higher Educational Institutions on leave to University Staff.
I wish to inform you that in terms of the Commission decisions taken at its 505th and 514th meetings respectively, sub section 18:1 of chapter x of the Establishments Code of the University Grants Commission and Higher Educational Institutions has been amended as follows:
For annual general Meetings 18: 1 :-
The Secretary of the Commission/Registrar/Deputy General Registrar/Snr.Asst.Registrar of Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes may grant members of registered trade unions subject to the exigencies of the service, a day's duty leave to attend only one Annual General Meeting (AGM) of a Trade Union. A member attending such an AGM may also be given one set of railway warrants (to go and return) to the station closest to the venue of the AGM or the trade union concerned be paid the cost of such railway warrants for organizing the transport facilities for its members who attend the AGM.
