SCHEMES OF RECRUIT fOR POSTS OF ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL OFFICERS
Your attention is invited to Commission Circular No.657 dated 19th December 1995 on the above subject.
The University Grants Commission at its 482nd meeting held on 15th November 1996 has decided to extend the concession of obtaining one appointment/promotion under the schemes of recruitment which existed immediately prior to the issue of Commission Circular No.440 and 512 to Assistant Secretaries/Assistant Registrars/Assistant Accountants/Assistant Bursars/Assistant Internal Auditors appointed under the old scheme of recruitment laid down in the advertisement dated 23/02/1990.
It has been further decided that any Officer who had been promoted to the post of Senior Assistant Secretary/Senior Assistant Registrar/Senior Assistant Accountant/Senior Assistant Bursar/Senior Assistant Internal Auditor in terms of the provisions of Commission Circular No.668 of 13th February 1996 on the basis of personal to the holder is not entitled to this concession. Further they too should seek promotion on the basis of schemes of recruitment which are valid after the date of their promotion on the basis of personal to the holder.
The above amendments are in force with effect from 15th November 1996.
Please bring this to the attention of the Officers of the above categories attached to your univbersity/Campus/Institute.
