SCHEMES OF RECRUITMENT OF ACADAMIC STAFF
Further to Commission Circular No.721 of 21.11.1997.
The University Grants Commission has approved the following schemes of recruitment for the posts of Associate Professor/Professor/Senior Professor in the University System :-
| 12. Associate Professor (All Faculties) | :B-02 -By Merit promotion |
| 13. Associate Professor (All Faculties) | :B-02 - By Advertisement |
| 14. Professor (All Faculties) | :B-01 - By Merit promotion |
| 15. Professor (All Faculties) | :B-01(a) By Advertisement |
| 16 Senior Professor (All Faculties) | :B-01 (a )- By Normal Promotion |
The details of the schemes of recruitment and the marking scheme are annexed herewith.
These schemes of recruitment will come into effect from 01 January 1998 and will replace all previous schemes of recruitment approved in respect of the posts of Associate Professor/Professor/Senior Professor.
The Universities/Institutes may take action to effect promotions/fill vacancies in the above posts in terms of the provisions of these schemes of recruitment.
