FEES AND TRAVELLING OF VISITING STAFF
Your attention is drawn to Commission Circulars No.120, 234 and 299 issued in respect of the above subject. Having taken into consideration the representations made by the Higher Educational Institutions, the University Grants Commission at its 251st meeting held on 26th November 1988 decided to enhance the rates of payments to Visiting Lecturers in the following manner with effect from 1st October 1988 :-
(1) POSTGRADUATE COURSES
Lecture Rs.125/- per hour
Practicals Rs. 50 /- per hour
(2) UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
Lecture Rs.100/- per hour
Practicals Rs. 4 0 /- per hour
(3) PRE-UNIVERSITY COURSES
Lecture Rs. 80 /- per hour
Practicals Rs. 4 0 /- per hour
(A) Visiting Instructors
Rs.50/- per hour There will be no change in the prevailing rates for travelling.
