PROCEDURE FOR APPOINTMENT – POST OF DEPUTY LIBRARIAN
The Commission at its 784th meeting held on 16.07.2009 decided that the Selection Committee for the post of Deputy Librarian should be constituted as follows :-
- The Principal Executive Officer, who shall be the Chairman;
- Dean of a Faculty nominated by the Senate of the University;
- The Librarian of the University;
- Two other Librarians nominated by the Senate of the University;
- Two members nominated by the governing authority from among the members appointed by the Commission;
- Two Professors nominated by the University Grants Commission;
The above amendment is applicable to the Selection Committee for merit promotion/normal promotion to the post of Deputy Librarian in the Higher Educational Institutions/Institutes.
Subject to above amendment, other provisions in relevant Circulars and procedure for appointment will remain unchanged.
Please take action accordingly.
