PRESENTATION O F LONG SERVICE AWARD TO UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES
The University Grants Commission at its 26 3rd (meeting held on 23rd May 1989, decided to permit the Councils of the Universities to approve the payment of a long service award of R a .300O/- to the non-teacher and non-staff grades of employees who have been in the University service for a continuous period of 25 years, without reference to the Commission.
It will be the responsibility of the Council to establish the genuineness of the continuous period of 25 years of meritorious service of the employees concerned and the Council will be accountable for any errors that may arise in making this payment.
