International Co-operation Division was established in March 2000, under University Grants Commission restructuring plan. The division is responsible for following activities.
- Foreign Funded Projects
- Foreign Scholarships and Fellowships
- Link and exchange Programmes with Foreign Universities
- Sri Lanka-Maldives MOU on Higher Education
- Co-operation with SARRC Countries
- Liaison with Foreign Agencies
- Disbursement of Foreign Funds
- Review and Submission of Project Proposals for Funding
